Laura María García Carrizosa
Laura María García holds a PhD in Economics, Management, and Organization from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. She also has two master’s degrees, one in Management, Organization, and Business Economics, and the other in Industrial Engineering.
She currently works as a data analyst for the Colombian Ministry of Economics, and as a researcher and professor at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. She was also a visiting researcher at KU Leuven in the Leuven Economics of Education Research (LEER).
In 2021, she participated in the RAUN program as a research fellow, conducting research for UNODC on “The Effect of COVID-19 on the Mental Healthcare System in Low- and Middle-Income Countries: Identification of Gaps and Challenges in Mental Health and Drug Use Disorder Treatment Services During the COVID-19 Pandemic.”
